USB encrypted disk damaged (RAW)

Post by valdalva »

Hi, really need help please!

I have a WD 2TB USB drive encrypted with DiskCryptor which was improperly ejected and hence damaged. The disk is read now as RAW instead of NTFS.

The DiskCryptor header is not damaged so it can be mounted.

I tried to fix using TestDisk but it does not work on encrypted disks, they recommended to first decrypt and then use TestDisk.

Is it possible to fix? if so, could you provide any recommendations on the process to follow? Shoud I decrypt the RAW disk and then use a disk repair tool like Testdisk?

Any help will be truly appreciated.
