This is not a really a safety improvements as those information can be easily faked.
If you need some additional authorization you will need some hardware token based solution.

Assuming the worst case scenario and Windows 10 has overwritten the DiskCryptor bootloader (or it somehow got damaged). How would the user repair it? Hello, There are no changes that should slowdown anything. I would say the best approach would be to do your own tests. It also depends a lot if you using AES on a system that supports AES-IN CPU instructions. My home NAS can reach 2 GB/s throughput in CrystalDiskMark on DC encrypted volumes. Cheers...

Plug the HDD to an other PC that has DC installed and sue the UI as usual

Alternatively oyu can cerate a bootable Live windows external HDD using rufus and do the same

I dont know about "Partition Master"
but the built in windows diskmgmt.msc changes drive letters just fine with encrypted volumes.

1. There is no limit I have a 100TB raid array DC encrypted with no issues
